Survey answers to this are optimistic by about a fifth. People count the credit card, and then they are asked again after they have used it.

Anyone renting in a city this year is closer to the bottom band than the middle. Rent went up faster than the savings did.

The top two bands are older homeowners, and there are more of them than this room thinks. It skews the national number upward.
